ECO-KIDS is made of PLA. What's the meaning of this?

It's a technical story. The starting material is sugar, which is contained in plants. Think, for example, of cane sugar, corn, sugar beet, manioc or cereals. The plant is fermented and distilled to produce lactic acid. The lactic acid is then refined, dried and polymerised at high temperature. The resulting polymer (a type of plastic) is called PLA (Poly Lactic Acid), where a talcum powder (soapstone powder) is added to make the material more heat resistant and the granulate is then processed into an end product like other plastics
